Jackson County Commission Chairman, James Tidmore, was elected to a four-year term in November 2000. Chairman Tidmore is retired from public education with over 33 years in the profession. Prior to election, Commission Chairman Tidmore served as Mayor of Section, Alabama for six years. Chairman Tidmore is a Mason, a member of the Section Lions Club, a member of the Scottsboro Rotary Club, and serves on the Board of the Greater Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. He is an active member of the Section Baptist Church where he teaches Senior Adult Sunday School and serves as Chairman of the Deacon Board. Chairman Tidmore resides in Section, Alabama with his wife of 43 years, Jane Edward Tidmore. They have one son, three daughters, and eight grandchildren. |
